ASAP! FILM PROJECT

SAVE GIRLS ON F.Y.E.R. • ANGIE SILVERSTEIN & JOSH REUTZEL

VIRTUAL

In this program, the young women from Save Girls on F.Y.E.R. (Future, Young, Educated, Role models) will learn how to create a project and express themselves through the unique medium of film. Techniques such as camera angles, composition, continuity, close-ups, voiceovers, interviewing skills, and editing will all be explored. This year they will use the genre of the documentary, to explore their chosen topic of: Let Black Girls Live. By discovering their own voice through the making of the documentary, the young women from Save Girls on F.Y.E.R. will be guided by a professional filmmaker to complete their project. Ultimately, this program will empower these young women to create and explore deep issues that relate to their own lives.
