ASAP! CELEBRATES COMMUNITY

ASAP!’s annual fundraising gala celebrates community with a festive evening hosted by actor and producer Tim Daly. Dance to live music by the incredible 9 piece ETA band, and enjoy beautifully crafted local food and an open bar. This year, we gather in honor of longtime board member Rob Parker, whose passion for education and arts-infused learning propelled ASAP! to where it is today. See you there!

Tim Daly had been an actor for more than 40 years. He is the recipient of Theatre World, Golden Satellite, GLAAD, Gracie, Humanitas, Princess Grace and Peabody Awards. He has been nominated for Emmy and SAG awards. He is known for Madam Secretary, the long running comedy Wings, Private Practice, The Sopranos, the web series The Daly Show, and as the voice of Superman for the animated series. Daly has worked extensively in television, film, and the theatre on and off Broadway and regionally. He is on the board of the Putney School, Inside Out Writers, and has served as the president of the Creative Coalition since 2008.

Throughout his 11-year tenure, Rob provided financial guidance and monitoring for the Board, enabling ASAP! to broaden its reach to more schools in northwestern Connecticut, many of which were cutting arts funding. Working with JoAnne and her team, plus outstanding board leadership from past and present Presidents Tal Fagin, Mike Williams, and Jill Lloyd, Rob helped ensure ASAP! delivered its programs to more and more children each year while solidifying its financial position.
“I’m very proud to have been part of ASAP!, whose mission — to inspire kids through creative hands-on learning — is a fundamental imperative for our community. I’ve so enjoyed working with JoAnne and the Board to help secure ASAP! ‘s future, so they continue helping kids grow, learn, and experience through the arts.”
Rob lives in Washington, CT, where he and his husband, Peter Rogness, first bought a home in 2000 and now reside with their Corgis, Oliver and Griff.
ASAP! thanks it’s community partners for supporting this event:
