KIMIYE CORWIN

Kimiye Corwin is an actor, choreographer and teaching artist. She trained at the Juilliard School for dance and danced professionally with the Jose Limon Dance Company. Kimiye then earned her MFA in acting at Brown University/Trinity Theatre in Providence, Rhode Island. She has performed in NYC and in regional theaters all over the United States including the Guthrie, Hartford Stage, Actors Theatre of Louisville, TheatreWorks Silicon Valley, Shakespeare Festival of St. Louis (where she was nominated for a Kevin Kline Award) and more. She has taught at NYU, Stella Adler Center for the Arts and The Hartt School.

Kimiye works locally at Sharon Playhouse teaching, choreographing and doing movement consulting. She is an AEA and SAG-AFTRA member, as well as a member of the National Alliance of Acting Teachers and on the artistic advisory board for Connecticut Theatre Exchange.

Kimiye resides in Roxbury, CT with her husband, Jesse Liebman and her two daughters, Ruby and Maxine.
