EMILY ROBB
Emily Robb is a musician, composer, recording engineer and music teacher. Her own music education started with piano, violin and trumpet at a young age when Emily began to understand music’s power as language. Informed by her own growth through music, Emily’s teaching focuses on guiding students toward self exploration and communication. She believes music is instinctual, surprising, connective, informative and joyous.
Emily studied music at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada, Settlement Music School in Philadelphia, PA and with private teachers. Her studies have focused on rock, jazz and classical guitar though she continues to expand her knowledge of music from around the world and with different instruments. She has taught private guitar and bass lessons since 2010, recently co-founding Magic City Music School in Philadelphia, and has taught music for Asap!’s summer camps for several years. Emily enjoys recording and producing at her own studio, Suddenly Studio, and is currently composing and recording music for film.
