A DAY ON THE FARM
GRADES 2-5 • PATRICK HORAN AND ALYSSA ROBB
IN-PERSON • MASKS REQUIRED FOR THIS PROGRAM
Let’s move the classroom outdoors to Waldingfield Farm! Students will learn how food and farming affect our lives and the world around us. Farmer Patrick will lead each small group on a physically distant hayride tour of the farm. He will show how his team plants and harvests organic vegetables and the ways in which the farm creates sustainable, healthy communities. All participants will pick their very own pumpkin from the field and use provided paints to decorate with artist, Alyssa, before going home. Since groups are small, one adult is welcome to join their child on the tour and take part in the pumpkin fun if they choose.
