Where we live is fundamental to human identity and well being. Schools, shelters, churches, institutional residences and urban and suburban neighborhoods express the ways in which the social and economic ideas of home combine. Participants will work with artists Don Bracken and Denise Minnerly to explore ideas around home, community and identity. Using the same amount of clay as thousands of others around Connecticut who have participated in this project, they will create sculptures of ‘home.’ They will also participate in a large collaborative vine sculpture representing our bonds with the community, home, and nature. These sculptures will be part of the 2022 Village Project exhibition at the Mattatuck Museum in Waterbury, CT.
