THE ANCIENT ART OF HENNA

GRADES 4-7 • ELYSE SADTLER

IN-PERSON • MASKS OPTIONAL

Join henna artist Elyse Sadtler for a hands-on, cross-disciplinary lesson in the ancient form of body art called henna. Participants will learn all about the rich history and origins of this plant-based art used by cultures across India, northern Africa and the Middle East, all while mixing their very own henna paste. They will practice traditional designs while uncovering the science behind how this special plant-based art works on our skin. Henna students will leave with the skills to draw beautiful designs on themselves, family and friends while telling the tale of this fascinating art form.
