Grace teaches the fundamentals of Flow Arts: Grab a hoop and channel your inner creativity while developing your individual sense of artistic flow. Classes begin with a yoga-based warmup to stretch and bring awareness to all parts of the body before diving into the basics of both on- and off-body hooping. Participants discover different types of movement with the use of a prop, learn new tricks and skills, and put together choreography to music for a finale performance! Participants will use different props to develop and hone our control and object manipulation skills. As time allows, participants will also have the opportunity to explore other flow arts in addition to hoopdance, such as poi, contact staff, dragonstaff, leviwand, contact juggling, and fans.
