GRADES 2-5 • AMERICAN MURAL PROJECT (AMP)

Come with us to Winsted, Connecticut, to see the initial phase of what will become the largest indoor collaborative artwork in the world. Once fully installed, the mural will be 120 feet long, five stories high, and up to 10 feet deep. It’s a tribute to American workers and you will recognize many of the professions depicted in the mural. Learn how AMP has worked with more than 15,000 people to create this gigantic piece of art. After hearing more about the mural you will participate in a hands-on design project with an AMP artist, and then we’ll stop for ice cream on the way home.
