GAME LAB

GRADES 7-8

In this hands-on program, learners experience what it takes to create and develop a real video game. Working collaboratively and individually they will create, test, and refine a prototype of their design under the guidance of an experienced game designer. The iterative method of game development and testing allows students to deeply understand how and why games are engaging while bringing their own ideas and innovations to the table. Participants will leave the course with the written content needed to submit their design to ASAP!’s annual Celebration of Young Game Designers. This event celebrates the unique ideas of young game designers, and top selected designers are awarded the opportunity to work with a team of professionals to bring their very own video game to life!
