Celebrate the magic of Spring! Awaken your senses! Run through the fields, smell the wildflowers, keep your eyes open for nesting birds, seek treasures on a scavenger hunt, and get your hands dirty by planting flowers for the Judea Garden for Springs to come.

Hip Hop & Hand Drumming

Percussion instruments, fast-paced dance moves, and great music create an awesome afternoon. Austin Dailey brings his love of dance and the latest hip hop moves to participants. John Marshall teaches the rhythmically fun counterpart of this afternoon with his ever-popular Hand Drumming workshop. Participants explore different rhythms and styles of drumming on instruments from around the world.

ASAP! provides a healthful snack during the workshop.

Make delicious food and serve it with fun and flair. Your taste buds will jump for joy while discovering new flavors and how to combine ingredients for a favorite dish. You will then learn how to create a colorful table setting with surprising (edible!) art materials to make prints and patterns on your own placemat. Your home-made meal will look fantastic and taste great.

Move & Create

Team up with members of the world renowned dance company Pilobolus and community members from across Connecticut for an exhilarating, collaborative dance workshop. In this one-of-a-kind class, you will explore, invent, interact, and become involved in a unique style of dance all while making new friends. You’ll see the limitless possibilities within the medium of movement as you become more comfortable with being physically creative, collaborative, and expressive.

Please bring a lunch.

  • Registration is on a first come, first served basis. Refunds are not available.
  • Region 12 students are residents of Washington, Bridgewater or Roxbury, whether or not they attend Region 12 Schools.
    Nonresidents are residents of any other area.
