A Note from JoAnne Torti, ASAP! Executive Director

Dear Friends,

Founding ASAP! has been one of the great joys in my life. For 19 years, ASAP! has been blessed with dynamic board members, dedicated employees, extraordinary artists, and a loyal and supportive community. This is more than I could have ever hoped for.

When I look back over the years, the most powerful moments have come from watching students have their “ah-ha moment” – when they get a sense of their own self-worth and want to share their talent and excitement for learning with the world.

ASAP! is all about kids; providing those meaningful learning experiences that stay with them the rest of their lives. We are here to support families and to give every kid who wants it the chance to be challenged and to grow.

Our students dance with the Emmy-award-winning Pilobolus Dance Theater; play Side-by-Side with CT’s premiere orchestra, the Waterbury Symphony, and learn math and science through the cutting-edge techniques of Master Juggler and MacArthur Genius Award recipient Michael Moschen, to name just a few.

At ASAP!, our teaching artists share their passion for invention and discovery while our students are encouraged to support one another’s ideas and creativity. We provide a nurturing atmosphere with innovative teaching methods that help students truly shine by supporting self-discovery: who they are, what they love, and what they are good at. We believe that every child has a gift to bring to the world, and we are here to help cultivate those gifts.

At ASAP!, we start each new year eager to provide outstanding programming and life-changing experiences for our students. This year will be no different except that we are even more determined to help your children find their special gift, their “ah- ha moment,” and share their joy for learning.

All my best,
JoAnne Torti, Executive Director
